Sit back and enjoy listening to each class from Chevening CEP sing specially picked songs representing each decade that HM Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne. We thank Her Majesty for her great service and sing in celebration. Why not sing along with us - and join in with the dance moves too? Happy Platinum Jubilee all! Have a great rest and... See you soon. :-)
Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in style as Chevening's Performing Arts Club take you through seventy years of amazing times! Congratulations your majesty! Soon to follow... Each class contribution! Watch this space.
Class 5 were inspired by Brian Bilston's amazing 'Refugees' poem as well as the journey of 'Little Amal' from Syria, across Europe, to the UK. They made their own versions of 'Forwards/Backwards' poems about the issue of the right to education for all - including refugees. The book is built around this poem, which is at its heart.
Current Class 6 enjoyed a selection of short humours poems so much that they spontaneously started to construct their own. With a real Milligan style flavour, we hope you enjoy these poems and illustrations - composed, drawn and performed by current Year 6.
The second instalment of poetry from current Y6 in response to some funny shirt poems we studied in a SPaG lesson. Even SPaG can get your creative side flowing. Thanks to Jim Edmiston from 'Headstart' and Spike Milligan for the inspiration. We recommend reading the short 'Magnetic Sheep' and 'Invisible Chickens' poems.
While enjoying our 'Creature Comforts' we might like to also watch these 7 short videos created by class 5. They deal with environmental issues as if spoken by the many amazing lifeforms that we share our planet with. In true Wallace and Gromit style, sit back with a cuppa, some cheese and some crackers and listen to the animals!
Class 5 loved their visit to Carroty Wood. We hope you enjoy the video of photos from their adventure. In focus were... team building, facing fears, developing perseverance, compassion, encouraging others, lateral thinking, the joy of mud and so much more! The first half of the video features Mrs Bates and Mr Garrett's group. The second half features Mrs Kandasamy and Mr Qureshi's group. We hope you enjoy it!
